In the run-up to World Mental Health Day in October, our COOS Counselling Ministry is holding a talk to spotlight the issues of suicide and self-harm. The speaker, Charlene Heng, is a practising Social Worker and the Deputy Director of Samaritans of Singapore (SOS). She will be sharing how to spot the warning signs of suicide and self-harm, what are the facts and myths about these two issues, and what are the dos and don’ts should we encounter someone who is facing such challenges.
